Call for contestants for the LegendFest festival program to be held on September 15, 2018 at the Veliki Tabor Castle

Krapina-Zagorje County – 1. LegendFest in the Veliki Tabor Castle

The festival is organized by the Zagreb Cultural Association with the support of the Krapina – Zagorje County and the Tourist Board of the County, with the support of the Croatian Museum. Zagorje and Desinić Municipality. Namely, the Valkulture Association initiated this mystic manifestation 12 years ago in Istria County, Pićno – a small Istrian town of rich history, and since then has been successfully organizing it all over Croatia with the support of institutions recognizing the effort and commitment to the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage.

LegendFest is a multimedia and interactive engagement and a display of Croatian non-material and material heritage through different expressions of culture and art. Due to its size and importance, this attractiveness, the festival will, as every year, monitor all major Croatian media and media from the whole region. Over the past 12 years, this festival has shown particularly interesting children who could express their own creativity on this occasion, including in art workshops or performances, through the preparation of professional guides. These workshops take place during the day and are completely free of charge.

The central theme of this year’s Legendfest in the Big Tabor Court is:

WITCHES
Stories, legends and myths about these beings, primarily related to the Krapina – Zagorje County, have the advantage of choosing, but programs that can contain similar topics are also accepted:
historical people / personalities – old stories, beliefs, customs, excerpts …
witches, carnivores, wizards, mystical beings, ghosts, malice …
