October 4 @ 16:00 – October 5 @ 22:00
This year, once again, in the historic Poljica Principality, LegendFest – the festival of legends, myths, and folk tales – will take place. The event is organized by the Zagreb-based association Val Kulture in cooperation with the Local Committee of Tugare.
Last year, LegendFest was held in the ethno village Dolovi in Srijane (Upper Poljica), and this year the festival moves to the eco-ethno village Čažin Dolac in Tugare (Middle Poljica). It will take place on October 4 and 5.
The focus of this year’s festival will be Croatian traditional instruments. Alongside lectures and concerts on the theme, visitors will also be able to enjoy the LegendExpo exhibition and the LegendSajam fair, where local family farms (OPGs) will offer their homemade products. There will also be demonstrations of traditional shoemaking (opanci), the craft of weaving krtola (willow baskets), while the medieval knights’ association St. Nicholas from Varaždin will stage a medieval battle and display period military equipment. The Klis Uskoks association will run archery workshops throughout both festival days.
